ATLANTA-( )-Appuous Inc., a software development company founded by Wake Forest University student, Austin Evers, announced today that it has acquired both Analog and Analog Camera from popular UK-based Realmac Software, Ltd.—creators of award-winning products for Mac, iPhone and iPad such as Clear, Ember and RapidWeaver. Analog and Analog Camera, built for Mac and iOS, respectively, make it easy for anyone to apply stunning filters and borders to photos.

The applications allow one to easily share your edited pictures with friends, family, and others through Flickr, Facebook, Tumblr, and more. With unique filters, innovative features, and beautiful interfaces, Analog and its companion, Analog Camera, simply provide the fastest and easiest ways to take, process, and share your photos. With Analog and Analog Camera, you'll get perfectly polished photos every time. “We are elated about this acquisition and strongly believe in the future of both applications,” said Appuous Founder and President Austin Evers. “Realmac has already built two terrific products, and our goal is to improve them even further—revolutionizing the way people capture meaningful moments and how they translate those moments into creative, beautiful works of photography.” Dan Counsell, Founder of Realmac Software stated: “We are equally excited about this opportunity to work closely with the team at Appuous and help guide the advancement of both products.

Though Analog and Analog Camera are leaving our host of products, we firmly believe there is a bright future ahead for both of these applications and we can’t wait to see Appuous take them to the next level.” Appuous has plans in place to innovate on the current applications and work with the team at Realmac Software to deliver top-notch photo editing software for cross-platform use and collaboration.
