Just download the updater-sw from irobot, and connect your scooba with a standard Micro-USB cable to your computer (The micro-USB jack is located behind a rubber cover under the handle). Improvements are: - Better pump performance - Better drying performance in dry dock - No more implausible errors 1-8 and 1-9 Posts: 22 Joined: April 7th, 2009, 2:56 pm. Mastercb, thanks for the heads up. Just went to the URL you provided, downloaded the COM driver for the Scooba 450 and downloaded the firmware patch. Here's a before and after dump of the pre and post flash. I use Win8.1x64 and it worked without a problem. Win7x64 should do so, too.

Perhaps, You had the scooba already connected, when installing the software. This sometimes prevents the drivers from being installed correctly. Please try to disconnect scooba, uninstall the irobot software, then remove the 'ghost devices' ('unknown device' etc.) from device manager (Set win environment variable 'Shownonpresentdevices = 1' before starting device manager. Then select 'View / Show hidden devices). Then reboot and try re-install iRobot software w/o scooba connected Posts: 22 Joined: April 7th, 2009, 2:56 pm. Luckily I also have a really old x86 computer running win8.1, and the 32bit software works fine on that machine.

So it seems the 64bit version of the software is buggy. I've also tried to copy the x86 driver file to the x64 machine, but windows says it has no digital signature and cannot be installed. So seems if you want to upgrade, you can only use a mac or a x86 windows for now. Posts: 1 Joined: February 14th, 2015, 5:48 am.
